Garden City CoupleUnites at St. Mary sSt. Mary's Catholic Church was the scene of the June 24 wedding which united in marriage Virginia Ann Baier and Dennis C. GreenMary Jane Baier, sister of the bride, was maid of honor and wore floor-length veliow brocade dress with a yellow veil. Bridesmaids were SondraPerforming the nuptial cere- Green and Judy Pfeiff 'vhomony using the double ring vows was the Rev. Lisle J. Pottorf of St. Dominic’s parish.Parents of the couple arc Mr. and Mrs. Phil Baier, 1715 Park* wood, and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Green, Lincoln Rd., all of Garden City.Two bouquets of yellow and white carnations adorned the altar. Organist Mrs. O. C. Bergkamp played traditional wedding processional and recessional.White bridal lace fashioned the A-line gown of the bride who was given in marriage hv her father. Her cathedral length train of lace was edged wuth a scalloped border. Crystal sequins enhanced the bodice o: her gown. Her elhov/ length veil of illusion rippled from a princess crown featuring teardrop pearls. She carried an arrangement of yellow carnations.Take Special Care of Insect Bites and StingsInsect bites and stings are a summer annoyance for many of us, hut in some people insect stings may cause an allergic reaction. The sting of the yellow jacket, is the most dangerous. Among people who experienced severe allergic reactions to insect stings, the greatest member had been stung by a yellow jacket; fewer by awerg gowned in identical fashion to the honor attendant.Flower girl was Anita Baier who was dressed similar to the bridesmaids. Ring bearer was Mike Baier. Serving as best man was Mike Green. Groomsmen were Rodney Farnsworth and Bobby Burgardt, ail of Garden City. Ushers were Steve Burgardt and Randy Burnett.A reception of 100 relatives and friends was given at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Pouring punch wYs Karla Schiffel-bein and Linda Baier. Serving cake was Janet Baier, at the gift table was Diane Stegman and presiding at the guest book was Diane Barlow.After a wedding trip to Colorado the couple is at home at 1603V'a St. John.The bride attended Holcomb High School and the bridegroomattended Garden City High School. He is employed as a welder at Ansel Manufacturing Co.. Inc.Among the out-of-town guests attending the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Baier, Dodge City; Mrs. John Smith and girls, Lakin; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Millershaski, Ingalls; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Birney. Sublette; Mrs. Seth Freed, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. Grady Gibson, Colorado Springs.
