Y., at the res- h-idence of her aunt, Mrs. Frederick 1 s Percy Vail. |tAbout a year ago Miss Hunt, accom- c panied by her sister, Miss Florence Hunt, I v camo East on a visit to relatives, and it | js was while visiting a relative that Miss I ^ Hunt made the acquaintance of Mr. Gunning. In the course of time the friendship ripened into love. and last evening they plighted their nuptial yows. An interesting incident connect-ed with this romance was the’fact that! *: the mothers of the bride and bridegroom I were old friends. Miss Hunt and her 1 * sister spent the best, part of their year’s ] J visit in the East with Mrs. Mary F.1 * Vail, of 51 Bayard atteet, an aunt, and while in tliis city formed many warm friendships. The fact that the majority of relatives were in the East was the cause of the marriage taking place at New Market.“Valmere,” the beautiful and palatial residence of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Percy Vail, at New Market, was the scene of one of the most brilliant wed-diugs that has taken plftcie for a long time in this vicinity, more than 400 in-vitntions being sent out. The house is admirably adapted for a function of this] I sort, abounding as it does in spacious j piazzas, which were turned into palm | ( gardens and brilliantly illumined, the Fights gleaming through the banks ofpalms like innumerable stars.The ceremony was performed in the long drawing room, under the palms, and the celebrant was the Jtev. Linn E.
