He left his post at Vancouver barracks, in the state of Washington, was arrested after going to Portland, and was court-martialed In Ban Francisco, she told the court. Capt. Bishop was formsrly stationed at Fort Wayne. His wife eatd she felt the disgrace of being the wife of an army deserter more keenly than she did his cruelty to her.
