January 23, in the First Baptist Church of Checotah.The bride Is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Marlin or Checotah and parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Frank M. Mitchell, also of Checotah.The Reverend George McDow officiated at the ceremony before an altar decorated with floor baskets of white gadioli flanking four tiers of candelabra holding white tapers. Jade palms completed the setting.Mrs. Paul Kealiher. organist presented a program of traditional wedding mysic and accompanied Miss Deloris North, vocalist.' who sang. Because (d'Harelot) and The Lord's Prayer (Malotfe).The bride, given in marriage bv her father, wore a ballerina length gown of white imported handclip-ped Chentilly lace fashioned with a basque bodice and tiny Queen Anne collar. The long sleeves came to a point over the hand. The bouffant skirt had alternating bands of lace and net. Her finger-tip veil fell from a pearl tiara. She carried a white orchid atop a white Bible.Miss June -Wilson was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Beverly Wiley and Mrs. Peggy Wellsof Tulsa. Janie Ann Summers, cou-Bln of the bride, was flower girl and the candlelighter was Linda Kay Summers, cousin of the brideThe attendants wore identical dresses of aqua taffeta with overskirts of aqua chiffon. Their headdresses were of the same color and they carried cascade bouquets of Jink carnations.Bob Helm served Mitchell as best man. Ushers were Charles Meyers of Tahlequah and Richard Wells of Tulsa.Mrs. Marlin chose for her daughter's wedding a slate blue silk dress with white accessories and a corsage of pink carnations.Mrs. Mitchell was wearing a navy blue dress with matching accessories and a corsage of pink carnations.Following the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Marlin were hosts at a reception in the church parlor.
