Mrs. Scholl Is the daughter of jMrs. Effie Call of Ninth street and is; 26 years old. Mr. Richards is thej son of Mr. and Mrs. James Richards,! who were among Clinton’s early set-j tiers and who departed from thisi world several years ago. Mr. Rich-; ards was in the United States army! for three years, receiving his honor-! able discharge and returning to Clinton little over a year ago.The romance, which ended in aj wedding began about ten years ago. i Tbey were engaged but Mr. Richards! left Clinton for a while, returning to find his sweetheart married to John Hart, his boyhood chum. Later Mr.; Richards married, but his life not; proving a happy one, divorced hisj wife and joined the army. When hei returned again to Clinton, he learned! his former sweetheart was free so lie i lost no time in renewing his suit and ; Dan Cupid worked fast. • jMr. and Mrs. Richards will go to j housekeeping at once in their newly; furnished home on South Eighth! street. The ceremony was perform-s ed by Rev. Price E. Cross of thej Christian church, at 8:30 o’clock iu!the presence of about twenty-five. A wadding supper was served at 10 ; o'clock.
