Branel, of Macon, Ga., to Miss Mary Emma Harris, of Tazewell. Rev. C. M. Reid, of Mlddlesboro, Ky.. officiated, while Prof. Picham, of Cumberland Gap, Tenn., played the wedding march for the occasion.At the first strains of the beautiful Lohegian march the urshers, J. W. Harris, of Charlottsvllle, Va., and Hon. H. Y. Hughes, W. H. Eppesand W. H. Carr, of Tazewell, moved down the church aisle. Mrs. James P. Ki-vette, as matron of honor, f allowed next aud then the little fiower girls preceded the bride, who was leaning on tbe arm of ber father. Tbe groom, attended by bis best man, tbe Hon, W. B. Hodges, of Morristown, met them at the altar.The bride was beautifully attired in a gown of white taffeta and chiffon, hand embroidered in clover blossoms and carried a bouquet of bride’s roses Tbe veil was caught with orange blossoms and fell the full length of the train enveloping her in a mist of bridal beauty. The groom and his best man, Hon. W. B. Hodges, wore conventionalblack.The matron of honor, Mrs. James P. Kivette, of Tazewell, was dressed in white satin trimmed in real lace ana carried a bouquet of pink carnations.Little Miss Mary Leonard Harris, of Charlottsvllle, Va., carried the ring on a silver waiter, accompanied by the little Miss Charlotte Kivette, of Tazewell, the flower girl, who carried a basket of white hyacinths.Immediately after tbe ceremony the family and immediate friends were given an elegant lunch at the charm* log home of Mr. and Mrs. James P. Kivette. The diningroom was beautifully decorated in roses aod pink carnations. Five courses were served. Many beautiful and expensive presents were received.Among those attending from a distance were. Mr. A. W. Harris, Mi. and Mrs. W. E. Harris aod two children, and J. W. Harris, of Charlottsvllle, Va., Mrs, Dr. Witt, S. Conway, of Atlanta, Ga., Editor C. S. Harris, of the Adair County News, and his two little sons, of Columbia, Ky., Mrs. S. L. Harris, of Russellville, Tenn., Hob. W. B Hodges and G. N. Johnson, of Morris-towu, Tenn., S. B. Day, of Whitesburg, Tenn.Tbe bride is the popular and charming daughter of Mr. A, W. Harris, now of Charlottsvllle, Va. She was reared and educated in Southwest Virginia and possesses tbe happy faculty of making many friends.The groom Is an East Tennessean by by birth and education, and is a most successful business mao. He has a host of friends in East Tennessee and Central Georgia and at present holds a yery lucrative position at Macon, Ga., with the Deering Harvesting Co.After the reception the happy couple left on the north bound train on an extended wedding tour.
