Mis* Opal Gayle Bradshaw, daughter of Mr and Mrs. J. A. Bradshaw of Gowrie and Carl S. Elmore jr., son of Mr and Mrs Cafl S. Elmore sr., Lanyon, were united In marriage in the Mission Comenant Church of Lanyon at 7 p. m. January 10Rev, George Schermer, Mission pastor, performed the double ring ceremony.Miss Bradshaw, given in marriage by her father, wore a dress of white satin fashioned into a pointed bodice with a nylon marquisette yoke outlined with poporn lace and long pointed sleeves. The skirt, worn over hip pannieres. was shirred into a bustle and edged in popcorn lace, ending in a three yard train.The bride also wore a three tier, halo type blushing veil with seed pearl trim and carried a styledbouquet of three dozen red rosestied with white streamers and lovers knots. Her only accessory was a three strand pearl necklace, a gift of the groomMrs Donald MegiU, Ft Dodge, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor She wore a gown of aqua faille, designed with a nylon marquisette yoke and outlined with two folds and a small pointed collar, setting off the skirt with hippannieres. She carried a styledbouquet of dark variegated carnations tied with aqua ribbons and wore a necklace, a gift of the bride.Mrs. William Sandbloom, Boone, sister of the bridegroom, served as 'Bridesmaid. Her gown was yellow faille and styled the same as that of the matron of honor She carried a styled bouquet of pink carnations tied with yellow ribbon and wore a necklace, a gift of the bride.Rita Coleman of Charles City was flower girl. Her gown was white satin, made like the bride’s. She wore a head band of net and little white flowers and carried a white satin basket filled with rose petals. Her accessories were a pearl necklace and braclct, a gift of the bride.Mrs. Bradshaw, mother of the bride, wore a blng cherry red dress with winter white accessories and a corsage of white carnations.Mrs. Elmore, mother of the bridegroom, wore a royal blue dress with black accessories and a corsage of pink carnations.Lt, Howard C. Elmore, USN, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man and Dallas Bradshaw, Gowrie, brother of the bride, was the grooms man.Ushers were Oris Bradshaw, Har-court. brother of the bride and Lt tjg) Lowell E Elmore, USN, Pensacola, Fla, brother of the bridegroom.Mrs. Oris Bradshaw, Ilarcourt,sane: “Because♦ tand “WeddingPrayer*’, the latter to the tune of *Oh PiomLse Me,” during the services. She was accompanied by Mrs. Hiimcr Carlson of Pa ton.The chur h was decorated with candleabi as» and two standing baskets of white snaps.Invueumteb following the wedding, a reccpLon for 135 guests was held m the church parlors. Leonard Carlson of Harcourt and Mrs. Florence Johnson, Gowrie, served as host and hostess for the affair,i Mrs. Dallas Bradshaw poured and Mrs, Howard Elmore and Mrs. Darrell Mon is served cake. Waitresses were the Misses Patricia Carlson, La Vonne Anderson, Jane Sclim and Karcu Ulmsted• Mrs. Charles Lambert was in t charge of the guest book and Mrs,’ Robert Lund berry and Miss Arlene Kullberg were at the gift table.1 The bride wore a spice colored suit dress with dark brown accessories and a corsago of talisman roses for her traveling costume. The couple are now at home at G05f^ South Oak St., Jefferson,Mrs. Elmore was graduated from Bui aside high school and has been employed as bookkeeper of the Lanyon Hardware Company at Lanyon.I The bridegroom was graduated from Lanyon high school and serv-1 ed in the US Army from May 23, 1946 to Oct. 3, 1952, discharged with the rank of master sergeant.
