Engagement of Ladd iGirl is AnnouncedThat Miss Alice Scanlon, of Howard, South Dakota, is to be a Febru- S ary bride, was revealed when Mrs. j Elmer Flaherty entertained 12 guests at a 1 o’clock luncheon at her home one-half miles south of Ladd, Wednesday.Miss Scanlon is a granddaughter of Mrs. Ellen Hurley, who resides north of Ladd, and has made her home with her grandmother since her family jmoved to Howard, South Dakota, a • number of years ago. She will become the bride of John Nevaeozzi, of Beloit, Wis., at a ceremony February 18, at St. Benedict’s church, with Rev. Aloysius Sharkey, officiating.The announcement was revealed jwhen the guests took their places at jl the beautifully-decorated table, and j picked out slips of paper from dainty nut cups, each slip having writtenthereon one word, which, when put together like a jig saw puzzle, an- J nounced the date of the wedding. j A two course luncheon was served t | by the hostess. Euchre was played, with prizes going to Mrs. Julia Scan- , Ion and Miss Mae Martin.
