ALTA NEWS ITEMSFrom Alta AdvertiserLouis Bruggeman, tenant on the James Alderson farm, south of Alta, passed away Tuesday morning, following an attack of pneumonia,' The Fathers and Sons banquet at the Methodist church on Monday evening was greatly enjoyed by those present. Nearly 200 fathers and sons were present.On Monday of this week, Mr. and Mrs, Henry Matter took, over the management of The Alta Cafe, which they recently purchased from Chas. L. Miller. Mr. and Mrs, Mauer come to Alta from the Arthur community.A marriage of much interest to this community took place at the Methodist parsonage at Salix, Iowa, on Friday afternoon of last week, January 11th, when Miss Myra Hocken of Cherokee became the bride of Wesley C. Kindwall of Alta.Building activity in Alta took a new boom the first of this week 1 when it was announced that A. G. Johnson and his son-in-law, Harold Hoffman had purchased the Ike Sangston lots’, which was the site of the former tie-in-barn, and they intended to start work at once erecting a new $10,000 super-service station on the site,
