JERRY NEUMEIERKevin David PhotoSchuerman-Neumeier vows solemnizedDoris Ann Schuerman became the wife of Jerry Alan Neumeier in a candlelight ceremony at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 6, in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Fort Jennings. The Rev. Herman Fortman officiated the double-ring ceremony.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schuerman of 40 Fourth St., Fort Jennings. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Neumeier of 610 West First St.Vocalist Nancy Etzkorn was accompanied by organist, Mrs. Elmer Dickman in performing selections, “Wedding Song,’’ Ave Maria,” and “Sometimes, Someday, Somewhere.”The bride was given in marriage by her father.She wore a gown of qiana jersey with a flared skirt and chapel-length train. Silk Venice lace trimmed the bodice and V-neckline and edged the long fitted sleeves.Her venice lace cap held a single tier fingertip veil edged with lace.Doris carried a bouquet of phalornopsis orchids, stephanotis. white roses and trailing ivy.Matron of honor was Mrs. Ronald Malanowski, sister of the bride.Bridesmaids were Mrs. Thomas Schuerman of Fori Wayne, sister-in-law of the bride; Mrs. David Dickman of Delphos; sister of the bridegroom; and Mrs. Daniel Metzger of Fort Jennings, sister of the bridegroom.The women wore turquoise gowns of silk knit with full long sleeves. Self fabric ruffles accented the yoke and formed the stand-up collar of the fitted bodice of each gown. The slightly gathered skirt featured four tiers, each topped with a small ruffle.They wore hairclips of stephanotis and angel lace gysophilia, and carried clutch bouquets of white roses and stephanotis tied with matching velvet streamers.Best man was William Neumeier of Delphos, brother of the bridegroom.Ushers were Roger Neumeier of Lima; Donald Neumeier of Delphos ; Thomas Neumeier of Delphos; Gary Neumeier of Delphos and Ben Neumeier of Delphos; all brothers of the bridegroom.The men wore gray tuxedos, white ruffled shirts with gray piping and white rose lapel flowers.Mother of the bride wore a bittersweet, polyester gown with lace appliques on the bodice and long sleeves.Mother of the bridegroom wore a full-length, coral polyestergown with long puffed sleeves and silver accessories.Grandmothers attending the wedding ceremony were Mrs. Mary | Suever and Mrs. Margaret Friemoth.A reception was held in the Knights of Columbus Hall immediately follow ing the ceremony.Tables in the hall were decorated with evergreen candles and roses. The bridal table featured a white wedding candle and floral arrangements.A wedding dinner was served at the reception.The couple reside in Delphos.' Doris is employed by Tower National Bank and Jerry is an employee of Aeroquip Corp. of Van Wert.Jago speaks to OCCLChanging Times Mothers Club held its January meeting at the home of Vena Kill.
