nSusan A. Hoover Bride Of William A. O’Brien!* The Birmingham Presbyterian Church was the setting for the d afternoon wedding of Susan Ann Hoover and William R. O'Brien on Saturday, Jan. 20. n The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John S, Hoover of '» Tyrone KD 4. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs, Earl »: B, Dawson of 325 W. 17th st.The double* ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Orville ■i E, Lanham at 2 p.m.The altar of the church wac'■ decorated with palms and an arrangement of white gladiolas and carnations.Traditional wedding music was played by Mrs. Samuel Winters Jr. of Birmingham, the church organist.The bride, given, in marriage by her parents and escorted to the altar by her father, wore a floor-length gown of white peau de sole and lace. It featured an empire-style lace bodice, long pointed sleeves and scatteredappliques. A scalloped square neckline framed her face. The peau de sole skirt was topped with a bow tucked under the bodice. The detachable train was lined with acetate taffeta.1 Her fingertip veil of pure silk 1 was attached to a crown of pearl orange blossoms. She carried a cascade of white rosebuds and carnations with white velvet streamers,Deborah Nowlin of Warriors Mark was the maid of honor,' She wore a floor-length gownwith a pink satin bodice and ombreI pink crepe skirt. Her deep pink headpiece featured a crown of velvet flowers and pearls,She carried a cascade of pink rosebuds and white carnations with pink velvet streamers.William C. Fink, 1415 Bald Eagle ave«, was best man. John S. Hoover Jr. and William W.Hoover of Tyrone RD 4, brothers of the bride, were ushers.For her daughter's wedding, 1 the bride's mother wore a beige coat-dress with brown accessor- 1 ies. The mother of the bride- ] groom wore a lime skimmer with 1 brown accessories. Both had pink 1 I rosebud corsages. A reception was held in the 1 . church social room following the [ ceremony.
