Swanson—LarsonA quiet home wedding took place on Saturday evening at six o’clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Larson, east of Attica, when their daughter, Miss Ellen Elizabeth was given in marriage to John E. Swanson. About 80 guests were assembled to witness the ceremony, which was performed by Rev. Robert Kaeding, pastor of the Swedish Lutheran church. The attendants were Miss Emma Larson, sister of the bride and Albert Swanson, brother of the groom. The bride was very charming and sweet in an afternoon dress of blue satin.Preceding the ceremony a trio of young ladies sang “O Promise Me” and I love you truly”. Miss Anna Sable of Attica played Mendelsohn’s wedding march as the bridal party entered the parlor.iAfter receiving the congratulations of their friends the bride and groom lead the way to the dining room where an elaborate three course dinner was served. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Larson and is well known in Attica. The groom is the son of Ed Swanson, and is an enterprising young farmer of Benton county. He with his bride will go to housekeeping on a farm south of Boswell and will be at home to their friends after March 1.
