St. Joseph Church SettingFor Hensley, Lewis RitesWhen Miss Betty Lou Lewis became the bride recently of David H. Hensley, she was preceded to the altar of St. Joseph church by four attendants dressed in long empire gowns of rose ribbed peau de soie topped by wine velvet sleeveless bodices and matching long rose coats.The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fabian Lewis, 738 Cedar lane, Chicago Heights, asked her twin sister, Beverly Ann Lewis, to be maid of honor, and Mrs. John DiGiovanni, Mrs. Donald Share and MissJanet Ciancanelli, to be bridesmaids.Mr. Hensley, whose parents are Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hensley, 3520 Kings road, Steger, was attended by his brother, Ronald Hensley, as best man: Charles Roth, Donald Share and James Hensley, groomsmen. and John DiGiovanni andRobert Hensley, Jr., ushers.* * *ARRANGEMENTS of white gladioli, carnations, chrysanthemums and ivy graced the altar for the double ring afternoon rites conducted by theRev. Jack Juchcinski. Seating places were marked by white chrysanthemums centered with pink and tied with satin ribbon.The statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary was adorned with a spray of white roses, placed there by the bride as Mrs. Jane Pratico sang “Ave Maria.”Escorted by her father, the bride appeared in a long slender empire gown of candlelight satin enhanced with wide ecru bands of Alencon lace at the scoop neckline, elbow - length sleeves and hemline. Matching lace also bordered her removable chapel train. She wore a full-length veil of imported English illusion secured to a headpiece of imported flowers,pearls and ivy.For her bouquet, the bridecarried a cascade of severalwhite orchids.EACH attendants wore an open velvet rose headpiece with buds cascading over her hair and carried a cascade bouquet of off-white tea roses with bur-gandy centers, pink lilies of the valley and ivy. The bride presented the young women with charm bracelets.For her daughter’s wedding Mrs. Lewis appeared in a shocking pink brocade coat ensemble and pink accessories. Mrs. Hensley wore an American rose silk coat ensemble and matching accessories.
