Schelhaas-Roskam Vows At First Reformed Church HereDorothy Schelhaas became the bride of David Roskam ina double ring ceremony held Monday, December 29, in the First Reformed Church at Rock Valley.Presiding over the 7:30 ceremony was the Rev. E.R,Voogd.Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Jim Schelhaas of Rock Valley and Mr. and Mrs. Gerrit Roskam of Sioux Center.The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white nylon organza gown which was trimmed withlace, sequins, and seed pearls and which had an empire waist and a train edged in wide ruffle lace.Serving as matron of honor was the bride's sister, Mrs. Kathy Plueger, who wore a light green double knit gown with dark green velvet cape edged with light green ruffle.Serving as bridesmaids were Mrs. Linda Swier, Mrs. Audrey Pollema, and Mrs. Charlene Bay, all sisters of the bride. All were attired in dresses similar to that of the maid of honor. The bride's personal attendant was Mrs. Sandy Rens.Best man for the ceremony was Ron Roskam, a brother of the groom; groomsmen were Alan Sandbulte, Hank Zbmer, and Larry De Weerd, while ushers included Jeff Roskam and Her Ion Zomer.Providing music at the organ was Miss Beth Roskam, who accompanied soloist Pat Pollema as she sang The Wedding Song and The Wedding Prayer.For her daughter's wedding, the bride's mother chose a floor length, rose-colored double knit dress; she wore a corsage of red roses.
