Grace Manos Married To A.S Catechis At Ceremony At St. Georges ChurchThe marriage of Grace Manos, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Manos of 1201 Procter street, to A. S. Catechis, son of Spiro Catechis of New York, was solemnized at St. George’s Episcopal church.The Rev. Scottis, Greek minister from Galveston, perform-before an altarI ed the ceremonybanked with white gladioli andpalms, softly illuminated by^gleam-ing white cathedral tapers. The wedding music, played by Mrs. Thomas Sappington, included the , traditional nuptial marches. The bridal solo, “O Perfect Day,” was sung by Thelma Oder.Bridal Gown Of White SatinThe bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a bridal gown of white satin, designed with lace waist and long sleeves, which ended in points over the wrists. Loops of the satin were arranged flower effect about the bodice. The lack of the skirt was gathered and extended into a sweeping train. A coronet of seed pearls held her fingertip veil in place and she carried a colonial bouquet centered with an orchid. Her only ornament was a diamond cross.Mrs. Joseph' Angelo attended as her matron of honor. She wore a ) blue chiffon gown, fashioned on classic lines, with elongated tucked bodice and long sleeves. She also carried a colonial bouquet.Jack M. Payne served as bestman. Ushers were Johnny Loukas and Thomas Loukas.The bride’s mother was attired in brown net with harmonizing accessories. She wore a corsage of yel-Iqw rosebuds.Reception At GoodhueFollowing the ceremony a reception was held at the Goodhue hotel with more than 150 guests attending the dinner and enjoying the dance which followed. Music was furnished by Badgett’s orchestra. The bride’s table was graced with a beautiful satin-iced wedding cake.During the evening, the young couple left for a wedding trip, the bride traveling in a grey wool suit with black accessories. They will make their home here where the bride was reared and educated. She is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson high school and Port Arthur college. Mr. Catechis recently received his honorable discharge from the Army. He is employed by the Continental Distilling company of Houston.
