Harris, 405 North Taylor avenue, was a particularly charming bride in her long-sleeved white satin gown, made with a deep yoke of rose point lace, full court train lined with chiffon and lace veil caughtclose to her head with clusters of orange blossoms, as she approached the altar in the Church of the Epiphany, Chicago, Saturday evening, January 15, to become the bride of Janies Da-mus of DuBois, Pa. The lovely marriage service of the Episcopalian church, read by Rev. John F. Plummer, was made still more beautiful by the appropriate selections, “Entreat Me Not to Leave Thee,” sung by Mrs. N. Atiyeh and “O, Perfect Love,” by Mrs. N. Haddad during the intonation of the vows.Mrs. S. E. Munyer of Oak Park, in a sequin gown, shading from delicate pink to the deeper shades, trimmed in ostrich, was matron of honor. Sally Dahir of Barrington, 111., Adele Damus of DuBois. Pa., Ida Basil of Chicago, Belle Munyer of Chicago, Mrs. Harold Mann, jr., of Oak Park, and Mis« Najla Harris of Kansas City, Mo., were bridesmaids. Their gowns were similarly fashioned .of pink chiffon finely pleated, with wide sashes and bows of silver at the side. The bridal party all carried bouquets of roses, sweet peas and various other harmonizing blossoms.Janet and Dorothv Mtmver of Oakflr *rPark were flower girls and William Dahir, Jr., of Barrington carried the ring.The bridegroom’s brother, Mitclrell Damus. was best man, and Alfred Damns of Pittsburgh* Iser Damus of DuBois, Pa., Sam Kallil and William As-foor of Chicago, James Andrews of Pittsburgh and Charles Harris of Oak Park seated the guests at the church.. Swett. Miss Dorothy Taylor will lead the devotional service. All young people above high school age are invited.On Wednesday evening at 6:30 occurs the winter banquet, which will bea turkey dinner (75 cents a plate) andwill be followed by the annual meeting for the hearing of reports. A new plan is to Ire followed this year in the presentation of reports, whereby the meeting will be shortened and made as interesting as possible. Everyone must make reservations for this dinner, for the regular Wednesday night reservations do not hold.The Woman’s society meets on Friday. The advisory board will gatherat 10 o’clock, and the devotional service for the day will be held at 11 ;30 and will be led bv Dr. Palmer.
