The Legion Club Rooms were the scene of a happy gathering on Monday evening when ladies of the town showered Mrs. Lionel McFarlane, formerly Amy Mead ows, with gifts for her home. The guest of honor was seated in a decorated chair to open the par cels which were piled in two large flower baskets. Mrs. Mead ows and Mrs. J. J. Cross assisted her. ‘A delicious lunch was served by the Evening Auxiliary of Christ church who were hostesses for t he occasion.
