Tomorrow is the wedding day of Egypt’s boy King, Farouk, and beautiful Farida Zulficar. King Farouk personally chose most of the bride’s trousseau, which is said to contain -15 exquisite gowns and coats. II cost £5000.The King has decided that his gifts of jewels to the bride—a three-row diamond necklace, a magnificent ; diamond diadem, with an emerald centre, valued at !£10,000—shall remain in trust for future Queens of Egypt.Dancers and gaily-caparisoned horses ridden by sheikhs are holding up traffic in many parts of Cairo. It is almost impossible to buy flowers throughout Cairo, every blossom having been acquired by King Farouk.A marquee, suggestive of a thousand and one nights has been erected on the tennis court at Klt;ubbch Palace, where King Farouk will introduce his bride to the Queen Mother and his family at 7 30 p.m., today.It is 70 yards square with colored silks bearing their Majesties' monograms. Aeroplanes light up the skies overhead and joyous crowds throng the 6treets.Thousands of Bedouins from the remote drseri villages are sleeping in the public gardens.Rejoicing is increasing in Its n-. tensity.
