James E. Garrett, pastor of the church, officiating.Miss Clements is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. J. K. Clements 2209 Taylor St., Commerce, and Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Stanley of Oughtibridge, Sheffield, England, are the parents of the groom.Miss Nancy Niles of Detroit, Mich., vocalist, sang “Because,” “I Love You Truly,” and “The Lord’s Prayer.” She was accompanied by Mrs. James Richards, organist.Two baskets holding white mums and greenery centered the altar with white tapers entwined with greenery in a circular candelabra.Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor-length gown of caiuMight silk organza over taffeta, in an A-line style with a scoup neckline. The gown also had elbow length sleeves with a chapel train. The bodice and sleeves were made of alencon lace. He veil was a three-tiered bouffant, elbow length, of candlelight net attached to a matching silk organza rose.sister of Mesquite, was the matron of honor. She wore an emerald green peau de soie floor length gown with matching train. Her bouquet was a crescent of yellow mums.Mrs. David Clements, Commerce, and Mrs. Alan Clements Arlington, were bridesmaids. They wore identical gowns to that of the matron of honor. They also carried bouquet in a cresent of yellow mums.Dr. Alan Morris, Commerce, was best man and David and Alan Clements, brothers of the bride, were groomsmen. Ushers were Robert Clements of Garland, brother of the bride, and Jack Reaves, Mesquite.Reception Following the wedding ceremony, a reception was held in Fellowship Hali. The bride’s table was laid with a white satin cover with silver appointments. An arrangement of white mums was centered on the table. A five-tier wedding cake with white confectioner’s roses was served along with punch and coffee to guests.The groom’s table was decorated in emerald green and wasJackson, Mrs. Lennie Atchley, Mrs. Evan Robets, and Mrs.Ruby Hanson. Mrs. Gwen Mo*Namee was in charge of theregister.For a trip through South Texas the bride wore a blue, knit dress and matching coatr She chose a black hat a n d gloves, along with patent accessories. She also wore a white. orchid from her bridal bouquet.The couple will make their home in Iringa, Tanzania, East Africa.Mrs, Stanley is a graduate of Commerce High School, East Texas State University, and* the Methodist School of Nursing m Dallas, She recently completed3 years with the Peace Corps.in Tanzania. She will resume nursing duties in the govern- ' ment hospital in Iringa whore she served as a Peace Corps* * worker.The groom is a graduate of a university in England and i s head of the Physics Department of the Mkwawa High School inIringa, the Tanzanian national preparatory school for boys.also centered with an arrange-' ment of white mums.
