Swearingen of Downs township, occurred the happy and pleasant wedding of their daughter, Miss Eura, to Mr. Samuel Sniff, a young and promising gentleman of South Downs, whoso manly and business qualities have won for him money andfriends.Miss Eura, the bride, is a beautiful lady,and her graceful manner and educated attainments have placed her in such a position in the hearts and memories of her friends that anybody might well feel proud of.Rev, I. J. Inghran, pastor of the Christian church, of which the subjects are both active and influential members,pronounced the words which joined their young lives. About seventy-live relatives and friends were present, including the Swearingenbrothers of Canton, Ed Iden and others of Normal.Many costly and artistic presents wore left by the guests as tokens of friendship.
