Michael is the son of William H. Johnston, Shafter.Both of the young people are college students. Michael is a senior at the University of California, Sant a Barbara and will graduate June 15th. ^ majoring in political science Margaret is a freshman atJ Bakersfield College majoring in ed- • ucation. They will both attend Santa Barbara next year to finish their education. Both were active in student body affairs during high school. Michael served as student body president his senior year and Margaret served as student body commissioner of finance at North High School.
