Stokes-French unite in double ring service at St. Peter's ChurchMary Judith Stokes and Damien Charles French were married in 7:30 p.m. double ring rites Dec. 28 at St. Peter’s Church.The Rev. James K. Bluett officiated at the service for the daughter of James Randell Stokes of Mary Esther and the late Mrs. Stokes and the son of Mr. and Mrs. John B. French. Midway, Ala.The bride’s father gave her in marriage. Wedding music was by organist Mary Lowery and vocalist Henry Richardson.Maid of honor was Cecilia Dalton Bridesmaids were Jenny and Janet Stokes, sisters of the bride; Terri Roberts and Melli Harbeson, cousins of the bride; and Rita French, the groom’s sister. Alison Killimett was the flower girl.Best man was Warren Flatt. Ushers were Max Lutz, Harry Peterson, and Ricky McWhorter. Groomsmen were Murray Gray, Press Witt, Chris McKay, Steve White and Tim French.The reception was held in the Casablanca Room at the Blue Horizon. Claire French presided at the guest register. Louise Gornto introduced guests to the receiving line. Those assisting with guests were Kenya Thompson, Karen Thompson, Rhonda Thompson and Amy McCormack. Serving cake were Helen Hasson and Melba Thompson.
