MRS. DOUGLAS WAYNE STROUDCarolyn DcLois Burchett, ^daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Je-M. Burchett of Eden, N. -^j-’ and Douglas Wayne Stroud, .'son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey ;H. Stroud of Pelham, N.C., were 'married last month at the Fellowship Baptist Church in ;-Eden.•- The Rev. Louis G. Dubost -Jr. performed the double-ring;cerem.ony.£ David Cooper presented a program of wedding music._ Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a full length white -crepe dress trimmed at center front, side front, /lower border of bodice and .'sleeves with lace. It was styled with stand-up collar and lantern sleeves. She wore a short pouf .veil of tulle attached to a bow • of crepe and lace. Her bouquet of white carnations was accented with pink baby's breath and f.white streamers.•; The gown and veil were designed and made by the bride. Miss Gail Shively of Eden -was maid of honor. She worea pink full length dress of velveteen flock, trimmed with white Hamburg lace and pink ribbons at the lower border of the bodice and a stand-up collar and short puff sleeves. She carried a bouquet of pink carnations. Dressed similarly was Mrs. Richard Watkins of Eden, the matron of honor. The bride also created the attendants’ dresses.Artis Boyd of Pelham was best mani Groomsmen were Richard Watkins of Eden and Kessie Burchett of Danville, uncle of the bride.Following the ceremony the bride’s parents hosted a reception in their home, where the bridal table held a Coral arrangement of pink and white carnations and greenery and pink candles in crystal candle-holders. Her,, three-tiered cake was trimmed in,pink and green and held a miniature bride and groom. . ..Mrs. Charlie'/Martin 'of Danville, aunt of the''bridegroom, was at the guest register. M, Morehead High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society, Girl’s Chorus, French. Club, Literary Club and Health-Career’s Club. She is currently a student at-Morehead Memorial Hospital School of Radiologic Technology.The bridegroom is a 1970 graduate of Bartlett Yancey High School, Yanceyville, N. C., where he was a member of the Future Farmers, of America, the basebali- team, a. library assistant and; coach’s assistant.
