MRS. ANTHONY J. VITIELLOVitiello-HannafinMiss Jean Frances Hannafin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Hannafin of 36 Margaret St., Arlington, Mass., was married Oct. 3, 1970, to Anthony A. Vitiello, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony A. Vitiello, Sr., of 109 Benedict Dr., South Windsor, at St. Jerome Church, 201 Lake St., Arlington, Mass. The Rev. Thomas Powers officiated. Soloist was Mrs. Mildred Brown, aunt of the bride.The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown designed and made by Mrs. E. Lorraine Smyth, whom also made the bridesmaid’s gowns and the mother of the bride's ensemble.The bride’s gown was an A-line gown of white Lute Song Crepe, with reembroidered alencon lace down the front of the gown, on the cuffs, the neck, and trimming the train. The headpiece was a Camelot cap covered with crepe and trimmed with reembroidered alencon lace, and a pure silk illusion cathedral length veil. Her bouquet was white roses and ivy.The maid of honor was Joyce Hannafin, sister of the bride.The bridesmaids were Janet Hannafin, sister of the bride, Dorothy Vitiello, sister of the bridegroom, Dorothy Ahearn Pignatiello, and Ann Desforge Malov.They wore empire waist gowns of lavender crepe with purple velvet bolero’s. The bouquets of the bridesmaid’s were yellow carnations and the maid of honor’s was also yellow carnations accented with purple mums in the center and purpleribbon streamers.The bride’s mother wore a mint green brocade ensemble with matching accessories and a corsage of pink tea roses.The bridegroom’s mother wore a gold brocade ensemble with matching accessories, and a 1 corsage of yellow tea roses.The best man was Michael Vitiello, brother of the bridegroom.Guests were ushered by Peter Vitiello, brother of the bridegroom, George Hannafin, Gary Hannafin, brothers of the bride, Thomas Pignatiello, cousin of the bridegroom, James Govini. William Harris, and Brian Sheridan.Mrs. Eileen Hannafin, aunt of the bride and Nancy Hannafin,cousin of the bride, were in charge of the guest book.After a reception at the Knights of Columbus in Lexington, Mass., the couple left for Bermuda and Maine.The bride attended North Cambridge High School. She is a former group leader in accounting with Arthur D. Little, Inc., Cambridge Mass.The bridegroom attended South Windsor High School, and Morse College in Hartford. He is employed as a printer for the Achievement Press Inc. He is the president of the South Windsor Jaycees, and is also a member of Junior Achievement and of the Chamber of Commerce.The couple reside in EastWindsor.
