Darla Bachman is brideMr. and Mrs. Gene Bachman of Whitten escorted their daughter, Darla J., and Mr. and Mrs. Marlyn Hupfeld of Liseomb escorted their son, Craig D., to the altar as the couple was united in marriage Dec. 4 at five o’clock in the afternoon. Rev.Charles Fry officiated at the double-ringceremony in Bethel Grove Christian Church of rural Liseomb.Organ selections were by Karen Cakerice, Rochelle Cakerice was pianist, and vocalists were Darla Maronn, Tim Case and Bob Blazek. Two white poinsettias and candelabra with evergreen decorated the church, and two red roses were placed on the altar in memory of the groom’s brothers, Alan and Kenneth.The bride’s father gave her in marriage. Her organza gown was highlighted with Venise lace at the wedding band collar and yoke, and had crystal pleating at the edge of the skirt and chapel train. Her fingertip veil fell from a floral coronet. She carried a white orchid with white sweetheart roses and stephanotis on a white Bible, accented with pink and burgundy. A lace hanky belonging to her great grandmother, Belle Kinniard, was also a part of her bouquet.Burgundy Qiana gowns with long sieeves-i were worn by the bride’s attendants, her sister, Deb Leimbacher, Kelly Reel and Beth Fay. They carried colonial bouquets of burgundy roses and baby’s breath, accented in pink.Mindy Bachman, niece of the bride, was flower girl and was attired like* the bridesmaids. She had burgundy roses and baby’s breath in her basket. Ring bearer was Chad Hupfeld, the groom’s nephew.Roger Hupfeld served as his brother’s best man, and Brad Smith and Scott Bittner were groomsmen. Guests were seated by Denny Bachman, Scott Zem and Dick Beeghly. The men of the bridal party wore gray cutaway tuxedos with pinstriped trousers.The reception at the Amvet Hall inLincoln was hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Virt Ramundt and Mr. and Mrs. Otis Hilmer. Jan Miller was in charge of arrangements for the wedding supper.The couple honeymooned at Dubuque, and now live at rural Liseomb. The bride graduated * from Union-Whitt ep HighSchool, attended the University of Northern Iowa, and is with Dekalb-Pfizer Genetics of Beaman. Her husband, a graduate of B-C-L High Schopi, attended Iowa State University, is with PaymasterSeed of Conrad and also farms.Special guests were Jean duToit of the Republic of South Africa, Ludwig Braun, Switzerland, Mr. and Mrs. Ian Bossenger, Kentucky, the bride’s grandmother and great grandmother, Ruth Simms and Belle Kinniard, both of Beaman, and the groom’s grandmothers, Grace Altemeier, Liseomb, and Mabel Hupfeld, Dysart.The rehearsal dinner was serve at DeGiacomo’s in Marshalltown.Mr. and Mrs. Hupfeld
