J.ii., 8tl*to«rlt;i«, •.**».^ lil®lw* *, /fOn Monday evening the large commodious residence of John 'Richards, near the Five Mile Grove, was the acene of much gayety and happiness, the occasion being the celebration of the tin wedding of Mr. and Mrs. John Richards. At an early hour in the afternoon the older friends of the coupll took it upon themselves to, extend their congratulations in the shape ! of tinware, which began to arrive by the wholesale. An old-fashioned afternoon ' dinner was had, and the event celebrated 1 by the old people in the style of yore. As the night approached large bobs began to arrive with the young folks and more tin-ware, and of all the rattling and banging of tinware one ever heard in their lives, it was at this time—-tinware sufficient to start a good size store. With the young, 1 came Uncle Ike, with his never failing 1 violin, and at the sight of Uncle Ike some 1 of the old folks became enraptured with * the thought that once again they would * have the opportunity of tripping the light * fantastic toe. There was no end to the 8 siring of bright, rosy-cheeked farmers’ * daughter, and here and there a city belie, 8 and as they all gathered to the large 1 parlors tof dancing we notM the follow- * log names among the many guests In attendance: Mr. and Mrs. David Richards, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Spaulding, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Laraway, Mr. and Mrs. ^ Jerome Smith, Omaha, Mr. and Mis. e Samuel Love, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Richards, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. William McGinnis, Wil ^ mington, Dr. W. M. Richards and wife, ^ Mr. and Mrs. Truman H. Ingersoll, Mrs. David Richards, Mrs. M. Hammond, Misses Sarah Wilson, Alice Wheeler, j, Sarah Maxwell, Marietta Spaulding, p Mary Crassley, Messrs. Newton and Anson Richards, and many others which we haven’t the time and space to publish. 11 Daucing was kept up until quite a late 0 hour, when they all sat down to a huge supper, and we judged from the way f things disappeared that the supper li was appreciated and enjoyed by ,all. * Though Uncle Ike resembled ' Gam- « brinus, after eating so much, he was t! induced to continue the dancing and it c was at the dawn ol morn ere the happy people adjourned, each pronouncing the P occasion a joyous one indeed. '
