Mr. and Mrs. Michael Shane PhilbeckPhilbeck-Walshari Liane Walsh of Henderson, Nev., and Michael Shane Philbeck of Gastonia were married on June 9, 2001, at St. Anne’s Church in San Bernadino, Calif. Father Gerry officiated the 2 p.m. ceremony.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Walsh of San Bernadino. She is the granddaughter, of Mr. and Mrs. Herschel Klaas bf Highland, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. William Walsh of Riverside, Calif. She is a graduate of San Gorgonio High School and the University of California at Riverside, where she was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society. She earned a master’s degree from the University of Phoenix and is a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners and the Polly Klaas Foundation. She is employed by Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc. in Las Vegas, Nev.The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Philbeck of Gastonia. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Moses and Mr. and Mrs. James Philbeck, all of Gastonia. He is a graduate of North Gaston High School, Gaston College and Belmont Abbey College. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and is employed by Superior Tire in Las Vegas.Mr. and Mrs. William Walsh presented their daughter for marriage. The bride’s sister, Tami Walsh of Redlands, Calif., wsa the maid of honor.Bridesmaids were Megan Shalp of Gastonia, Theresa Kuhlman of San Jose, Calif., Danielle Vincent of San Bernadino, Kristin Nelthorpe of Arlington, Va., Brenda Feldhouse of Las Vegas and Elissia Rivera of Highland, Calif. Junior bridesmaids were Erin Shalp of Gastonia and Erin Miller of San Bernadino.Rondel Steven Guffey of Dallas was the best man. Groomsmen were Tracy Philbeck of Gastonia, Scott and Eric Waish, both of San Bernadino, Steven Zyla of Las Vegas, Tom Sierra of Orange County, Calif., and A1 Gutierrez of Moreno Valley, Calif.A reception was held at the University of Redlands Alumni House following the ceremony, hosted by the couple’s parents. A rehearsal dinner was held at the Walsh home, hosted by the couple’s parents.The couple honeymooned at Sandals Resort, Negril, Jamaica, and now lives in Henderson.
