TWO DEFENDANTS GET PROBATIONMagistrate Paul Fensterma-ker admitted two defendants to probation on separate charges Thursday morning and ordered different terms in the two orders.John P. Miller, 27, of 200 North Church was admitted to two years probation on his plea of guilty to driving while under the influence of alcohol and ordered to serve the first six months at the Vandalia State penal farm.Sally Prather, 17, of 324 East Lafayette was admitted to six months probation on her plea of guilty to reckless driving. Magistrate Fenstermaker said he would waive court costs since it was the girl’s first offense and that she should surrender her driver’s license to the probation officer for 60 days. She was charged by city police following an accident Dec. 20.
