A. Sanders of Childress officiated the double ring candlelight ceremony as the couple stook in front of thecandelabra that held lighted tapers.Parents of the couple are Mrs. Alfred Eddy and the late Kerwvn McSpadden and Mr. and Mrs. B. E, McNeese.Soloist for the wedding was Miss Hobbs who sang “Because” and “Whither Thou Go-estShe was accompanied by Sammy McSpadden at the piano, who played the Bridal Chorus, The Lord's Prayer and the Recessional, for the ceremony.The bride, who was given in marriage by her brother, David Kerwvn McSpadden, wore a white, quilted brocade dressthat featured a round neck-line and long sleeves that came to points over her hands. Her veil was elbow length. The only jewelry worn by the bride was a diamond watch, a gift from the groom.She carried a white rosebud nosegay, surrounded by whiteorchids.The bride's sister, Miss Judy McSpadden of Dallas was maid of honor. She wore a light blue raw silk dress, styled identical to that of the bride. She carried a nosegay of tinted blue carnations.Jane Ann McSpadden of Good-lett was candlelighter and wore a dress identical to that of the maid of honor.Dennis Risinger of Quanah served as best man.The bride is a graduate of Quanah high school and attended Midwestern University and Draughon's Business College. The bridegroom is a graduate of Quanah high school.Following the ceremony a reception was held in the Drake home, with the bride's table being centered with an arrangement of tinted blue carnations.Mrs. David McSpadden presided at the register. Those whoassisted in serving the guests with refreshments were Mrs. Mary Melear, Miss Karen Hurt, and Miss Eddie Nan Lindsey.When the couple left on a wedding trip to Dallas and Henderson, the bride was wearing a yellow wool dress and a yellowrosebud corsage.They will make their home at 808 Shaw Street in Quanah.Out-of-town guests for the wedding included Mr. and Mrs. Vernon McNeese of California,brother and sister-in-law of the groom.
