Theresa SchumacherBecomes Winter BrideMi 88 Theresa Schumacher,daughter of Mrs. Mary Schumacher of Emmetsborg, became the bride of Leonard Buryanek, son of Mrs. Bessie Buryanek of Westfieldf in a 10:30 ceremony on Saturday morning, Dec. 29, in the Assumption Catholic church at Emmetsburg, with Rev. Masonofficiating.Given in marriage by her uncle. Charles Kunz of Emmetsburg, the bride wore a white sb'poer satin gown, fashioned with a lacr yoke, fitted bodice and long sleeves. The full skirt fell grace fully into a cathpdral train. Her fingertip veil was held in place by a seeded pearl coronet. She carried a shower bouquet of red roses with white satin streamer-on a white prayer book. Her jewelry was a double strand of paarls, a gift of the groom.Miss Consuela Schumacher, aister of the bride, was maid o( honor. Her gown was aqua blur with a matching shoulder length veil. She carried a colonial bouquet of sweetpeas and carnations.The bridesmaid, Miss Ednp Mae Schumacher, sister of tblt; bride, wore a pink net over satin gown with matching1 shoulder length veil. Her colonial bouquet was of sweetpeas and carnations.The groom and his brother. James Buryanek, were attired in blue business suits, and Clarence Weinzetl of Mallard, brother-in-law of the groom, wore a grey business suit. Their boutonnieresawere white carnations.Ushers were Duane Smtth and Lowell Boetger of Westfield,close friends of the couple. They also wore white carnation boutonnieres.Mrs. Schumacher wore an aqua crepe dress and Mrs. Buryanekchose a black silk dress for the occasion. Both had corsages of pink carnations.Following the ceremony, a re-ception was held at the home of the bride’s mother. Hostesses were Mrs. Leroy Leuer and Mrs. Chas. Kunz of Mallard and Mrs. George Reitmeier of Emmetsburg. Mrs. Richard McCarty of Emmetsburg cut and served the cake and Miss Donna Carter, also of Emmetsburg, poured. Mi-s. Maurice Kunz of Mallard had charge of the guest book.A four-tiered wedding cake,decarated with pink and blueArosebuds and topped with a miniature bridal couple, centered the serving table and was flanked by white candles tied with pink and blue ribbon.A graduate of St. Mary’s Catholic high school in Emmetsburg. the bride attended Ellis School of Cosmetology at Siqu* City and worked as a beauty pperatqr at Westfield.
