Dec 19 when E Glynn Stanley, Jr of Vallejo exchanged marriage vows with Michele Louise Tonaseia of Napa-Yountville before a gathering of more than 250 family members and friendsCms of w'hite and deep red gladiola stood at the sides of the sanctuary area of the modem churc h in the round A large Advent wreath was placed in front of the altar facing the bridal couple signifying the coming celebration of the solemnity of the feast of ChristmasThe Sacrament of Marriage was administered by Father James Edmund Driscoll, pastor of St Augustine s Church in Oakland, and attending on the altar as witnesses and extending their pastoral blessing to the newly wedded couple were Father Edward J Higgins, pastor of St Emydius Church in San Francisco and Father John van Snellenberg director of Catholic Social Services in Vallejo, old friends of the Stanley familyThe marriage united two Solano-Napa pioneer families Glynn, son of Mrs E Glynn Stanley and the late District Attorney of Solano County. Michele wore a gown of candlelight satin with pearls embroidered on Aleneon lace trimming the waistline and fitted sleeves and forming the yoke and high collar The skirt was softly draped ending in a cathedral train Her small bridal crown was created of the same Aleneon lace embroidered with pearls and her veil of ivory tulle was fingertip length She carried a cascade of orchids, stephanotis and ivy.Preceding her down the aisle was her niece. Aimee Baker. as junior bridesmaid. Sally Barr, a 'college classmate, hercousin. Mrs Scott Dalgleish. and serving her sister as matron of honor was Mrs Patrick Baker Aimee wore an off-white nylon dress with burnt sienna detailing and the other attendants wore afternoon gowns of burnt sienna silk jersey All wore fresh flower headpieces, designed in the English countryside manner of floral crowns, which matched their nosegavs of deep red baby chrysanthemums, ivory roses and baby s breathThe groom was attended by David Simich of Napa, who served us best man Joseph Kollar of Seattle.
