Applications are-iistributed to all seniors 3 them to apply for these ships,is for the scholarships from the sale of com-i calendars, donations he school clubs repre-on the council, and con-)ns from the community.Any maiviauai or group wisningto make a tax-exempt donation to the scholarship fund, may mail the donation to Mrs. Renate Muffler, chairman, scholarship committee; Mad River-Green local school council; 1469 Lucas Dr., Springfield.In selecting the candidates to receive the scholarships, the committee will look for students who have indicated a career choice and who have been involved in community activities. Secondary emphasis will be given to the students’ academic standings. The scholarships may be applied toward regular four-year college, technicalSCnOQiS, JUJ11UI CUUCfcCO, uuoi-ness colleges, or other technical-vocational training.Assisting Mrs. Muffler in drawing up the plans for the scholarships were Paul Maute of the Greenon Boosters’ club and two Greenon students, Wayne Natalie and Rob Risher.In other action at the January council meeting, presided over by chairman, Jack Carle, a recommendation was made to the Mad River-Green board of education requesting that on a trial basis the board hold its meetings in one of the schools of the district and publish a tentative agenda in advance to helpimmunity Activities Calendarnning tomorrow, all »for this column must be ted in writing to the Herald one week prior to ieting date. It was felt by the council that parking and seating are both inadequate at the board office where meetings are usually held, and that lack of citizen interest can largely be attributed to lack of information about upcoming agenda.KATHLEEN HARRISON, 4143 Raymond dr., Enon, was named to the Miami-Jacobs junior college president's list of “all A” students for the fall term. She is a 1971 graduate of Greenon high school.The “all A” group comprises the top ranking students of the 450 full-time students at the junior college.
