I— Wagner Will Wed Mrs. Maybrick.A dispatch sent out from Atlanta,4Ga., on Tuesday night was as follows: “Mrs. Florence Maybrick, aged forty-six, the American woman who was convicted in England of poisoning her husband and sentenced to life imprisonment, but who was released on ticket of leave a few years ago through the efforts of the women of the United States, and who has sinceftbeen on the lecture platform, is soon to be married to Charles L. Wagner of Chicago, secretary of the Slayton Lyceum Bureau, according to J. H. McCracken, Atlanta representative of the Slayton Lyceum Bureau otK Chi-cago.”Today’s Record-Herald, in speaking of the report, says: “Mr. Wagnerwas in Lincoln, Neb., last night. He is expected to reach Chicago some time today. The treasurer of the Slayton bureau and a close personalfriend of Mr. Wagner, Wendell P.*Slayton, stated last night that he did not believe the story of the engagement. ‘Mr. Wagner has met Mrs. Maybrick in a business way/ said he, ‘but I am quite sure there is nothing further between them.
