, Arthur Alwen Married In Ceremony At Ridgewood Ranch Jan. 4, Miss Audrey Ceeilig/:Welch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff D. Welch', Jr. of Ridgewood ranch, and Mr. Arthur D. Alwen of Ukiah repeated their marriage vows in a double ring ceremony read at three o'clock on Sunday, Jan. 4, inthe home of the bride’s parents.Dr. Lee of the Santa Rosa Epfsco pal church officiated.The bride,' who was given in marriage by her. father, wore a simply styled gown of white satin with tulle overskirt and cairied a prayer book marked with vyhite orchids. The fingertip veil with headdress Of orange blossoms whs the same one which her two sisters wore for their weddings;;Mrs. R, Li'- Moore and Mrs. Wayne Phillips,; both of Ridgewood ranch, attended their sidter at the wedding service. Their ballerina length gowns were of dark green lace accented With vellow carnation nosegays. Flow-ergirl Tamara Moore, niecje of the bride, wore pink. and white and carried a basket of rose petals.The new Mrs. Alwen was born in Klamath Falls, Ore., and is a graduate of St. Helen's Hall, Episcopal girls school, at Portland. She has been residing with her oarents at Ridgewood ranch^ the former Howard ranch and home of the famous race horse, SeabiWcuit. Since her graduation she has assisted her father In his business office in Willits.The benedict is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John S. Alwen of Ukiahf He was graduated from Alameda high school and after a tour bf duty with the cbast guard in the Pacific area enrolled at Santa Rosa Junior college for a course in business administration. ‘ He now owns and • operates TheSportsman, a sporting goods store, on South State street.Duties of best man were performed by. the benedict’s brother, lack Alwen of San Lorenzo.
