Spruell, cousin of the bride, and the Rev. G. Duane Smith, pastor of the church officiated. The ceremony was performed by candlelight, with candles in each church window.The altar was adorned with candelabra and bouquets of white gladioli and poinsettias.Mrs. William Ashworth, cousin — of the birde. was soloist, accompanied by Miss Maywood White 1 Given in marriag by her | uncle, R Welton Spruell. Va., the bride wore a gown of imported bridal taffeta It was fashioned with a basque bodice of chantilly lace embroidered with seed pearls and sequins a scalloped scoop neckline. and long tapering sleeves ending in wedding peaks over the hands. The full skirt featured a lace panel in front highlighted at the waist with a small bow. Her veil was a bouffant English illusion arranged from a double queen's crown of seed pearls and crystals She carried a prayer book covered with Chantilly lace, a white orchid and white rosebuds with ribbons knotted with lilics-of the valley.Mrs. Mitchell Cuthrell was | matron of honor.
