How They Break the News in'Kentland.Newton County Enterprise]NIiss Sadie Cunningham literally and figuratively “let the cat out of the bag” Tuesday evening. Miss Cunningham entertained a company of young lady friends at herhome on First street. T .esdav even-* *ing, and after the guests had assembled she presented herself carrying a large bag. The guests went down one, two, three in their efforts to guess its contents, and Miss Cunningham then relieved their anxiety by opening the bag and a cat jumped out bearing a card announcing her approaching marriage to Mr. Thomas L. Kirk, of Oxford. The young ladies rallied from the pleasant little surprise and remained until midnight enjoying the hospitality of the bride-elect. The wedding will occur on January 25th.
