The three daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Wleck who were present were Miss Irene Wleck, of Omaha, Miss Hilda Wieck, of Anthon, and Mrs. Rerhard Kabler and her husband. Mr. Kaliler. of Johnstown, Neb. Mr. and Mrs. Ilcrnard Kahlcr expect to move to Denison the first of March, where they will have charge of the Jacob Sachau farm northwest of town.Mr. Max Moftitt entertained at dinner pn Sunday Messrs. Lawrence Randall. Rex Moffltt, Robert Brown. Marshall Jones and Ronald Wygant. A sumptuous dinner was nervod by Mrs. Will Moftitt. assisted by her niece. Miss Delia McBride. The afternoon was pleasantly enjoyed with music by Marshall Jones and Rex Moftitt. after which the guests departed, voting the host a very pleasant entertainer-*Mrs. C. L. Smith entertained at a house party on last Thursday and Friday. A number of her former school teacher friends arrived Thursday and remained until New Years evening nnd all enjoyed the hospitality of Mr. and Mrs. Smith. The guests were Mrs. Mason Ramey, of Arion; Miss Edith Jefferson of Woodbine; Miss Essie Dray, of Missouri Valley, and Mrs. Homer Denney, of Mt. Ayr.She entered the State University of Iowa last September, but did not return after tho holidays. She is a young lady of pleasing personality and her friends arc numbered by her acquaintances.HdiJry I*7*Saggaif*is a son of-Mr.and Mrs. John Saggau. of this city. He is a young man of good character, upright, industrious and is sure to make a success of life. Saggau and Miss Rachel Lally Married at Catholic Church Last Thursday Morning. •Henry Saggau and Mias Rachel I-ally sprang a complete surprise on their friends by being Quietly married at the Catholic church early last Thursday morning. Denison people knew that this wedding was to take plain some time In the'futuro, but little did they think it would be so soon and the young couple had their plans so well laid that not a person suspected it.The wedding service took place at the Catholic church at t» o’clock ip the morning. Father Farrelly officiating. It was a private affair nud only the immediate relatives were present. After the wedding they took a train for Kansas City, where they ,aro now visiting Miss Daily's sister. Mrs. Clem Mahon.The bride is a daughter of Mrs. I*. E. C. Lally and was born and reared in Denison.
