Slayman -El kerb ergMiss Cecilia Marie Slayman of Kansas City, Mo. and Arthur Dean Elkerberg of Olathe were united in marriage on November 21st in a double.ring ceremony at the St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Osawatomie, Kan. Father Joseph Staudinger and Father William Maher officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John T. Slayman of Osawatomie, Kan. Elkerberg is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Orville A. Elkerberg of Olathe.Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white velvet gown styled with an em.pire A-line. The bodice was fashioned with a bib trimmed with venise lace. The lace also trimmed the jewel neckline, bishop sleeves and cuffs and empire waistline. Her mantilla of illusion was held by a bow of matching lace and fell into an aisle-wide train. She carried a bouquet of blue and pink carna. tions.Mrs. Alan Wanstedt of Topeka was matron of honor. Miss Marla Wilhelm was bridesmaid.Garv Duffield of Overland Parkwwas best man. Groomsman was Michael Perkins. Ushers were Carl Elkerberg, Dale Elker. berg, both of Overland Park and Michael Slayman of Osawatomie. Jack Slayman was lector.Assisting at the reception, held at the home of the bride’s parents, was Mrs. Jerry Foster, sister of the bride. The couple is making their home in Overland Park.
