GARY MCGEHEERuth Mossell Bride Of Gary McGeheeA pretty winter wedding took place on the evening of December 16 at the First Reformed church in South Holland when 'Miss Ruth Ann Mossell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Mossell of 16816 south Park ave., became the bride of Gary McGehee. son of Mr and Mrs.Paul McGehee of Solikull. England.The Rev Theodore Zandstra heard the young couple recite the vows of the double ring ceremony. Bouquets of white chrysanthemums and candelabra formed the background for the event. Mrs. Arthur VanKley sang “Because.” “God Gave Me You” and the “Lord's Prayer.” She was accompanied by Mrs. Lester Santefort at the organ.The bride, given in marriageby her father, chose a floorlength gown of peau de soie. The lace-trimmed bodice featured a portrait neckline and three-quarter length sleeves. The front of the billowing skirt was caught up in a point to reveal an underskirt of lace. The back of the chapel-trained skirt was accented with a butterfly bow. Her fingertip veil was attached to a dainty pearl crown and she carried a bouquet of white carnations and ivy.The bride’s three sisters were in the wedding party. Barbara and Joyce Ellen Mossell were bridesmaids and Karen Mossell was the flower girl. Joan Wog-num, cousin of the bride, was the maid of honor. Shirley Wagner. a classmate of the bride, completed the list of attendants. They presented a handsome picture in their street length red velvet dresses with matching bow headbands and red shoes. To add a holiday touch their white muffs were decorated with red carnations, holly and gold ornaments.The bridegroom had his cousin. Kenneth Vincent, as his best man. The groomsmen were Tom Mossell, brother of the bride,! Bruce Gephart. cousin of the bridegroom and Paul Wognum. cousin of the bride Ring bearer was Jamie Gephart. cousin of the bridegroom.For her place in the receiving line, the bride's mother chose i sheath of bone white brocade with a green flowered hat and matching gloves. Her corsage was of red roses. Mrs. McGe-Ihee’s dress was a turquoise cm-(broidered satin sheath with matching shoes and beige hat and gloves. Her corsage was ofwhite roses.About 275 guests from Soulh Holland and surrounding communities attended thr reception given by the bride's parents in the church dining room imme-;diately following the ceremony.The couple* had a short wedding trip to Nashville, Tenn., and now are at home* in Harvey. They plan a honeymoon in Europe later this year.The bride, a graduate of Thornton Township high school, is employed as a receptionist for Dr. A. R. Anderson of Harvey. Her fiance is a 1959 graduate oi the same school and is now employed by Kelly DeVries, contractor.No definite date has been set for the wedding.
