| Brush-Knight.Ii ^ ri _On Thursday, December 20th, at 10 a. m., Mr. \V. A. Brush, of Detroit, Mich., and Miss Jessie Knight, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Knight, of Braidentown,were quietly married at the home of the bride’s parents, Rev, E. F. Gates officiating. The marriage was a surprise to the bride’s host of friends in Braidentown. Mr.Brush had formerly taught schoolat Venice, at that time the homeof the bride, and had num*.»ered Miss Jessie among his pupils; it was then that Cupid did his work.On Mr. Brush’s departure from the State three years ago, it was his desire to take her with him asI his bride, but her parents objectedon account of her youth. They were to lie married next summer, but when Mr. Brush came duringthe holidays to visit his fiance, he again pleaded for her hund in marriage, and this time so strongly. that he overcame every obstacle, and returned to his Northern home with a lonnio bride fromour sunnv clime.*The bride is a lovely young lady, the eldest daughter of Mr.| and Mrs. J. J. Knight, and grand-I daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse i Knight, belonging to one of thej largest and oldest families ini South Florida.i Mr. Brush is engaged in teaching in one of the colleges in Detroit. for which place Ik* and hip I bride took their departure on the ! day of their marriage. They will ! begin housekeeping at an early ! date.
