Gieker Wed In MolineMiss Judith Maureen Desmond. 1421 18th Ave, Moline, and Rollin James Gieker, son of Mrs. Ralph Gieker, 1836 17th Ave , Moline, were married in a ceremony which took place at 7 last Thursday evening in Wesley Methodist Church in Moline.The bride is the daughter of the Rev and Mrs George C Desmond of McClean, HI., formerly of Moline.Officiating at the wedding were the Rev. B. Lloyd Weaver and Mr Desmond, the bride's fatherThe bride wore a gown of white peau de soie designed1 with a scoop neckline, long sleeves, and a flared skirt that extended to a chapel length train Her illusion veil was held ' by a fabric rose and the bride earned a mother-of-pearl Bible topped with an arrangement of white carnations Miss Sue Desmond, Bloomington, was maid of honor, wearing a royal blue peau de soie gown of floor-length, accented by a floating back panel. Her headpiece was of blue veiling and flowers, and she carried a colonial bouquet of white and yellow chrysanthemums Curtis L Palmer of Knoxville served as best man, and ushers were Thomas Erickson and Lloyd DeCamp, both of Moline A reception was held in the church parlors after the ceremony When Mr and Mrs Gieker left on a trip to Chicago, the bride wore yellow and white wool suit They will reside at 1836 17th Ave , Moline For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs Desmond chose a beige jacket dress, and Mrs. Gieker, the bridegroom’s mother, was dressed in a teal blue suit Both mothers wor„ corsage bouquets of yellow and white carnationsThe bride was graduated from Moline High School and attended the Moline Institute of Com-;t merce She is employed Jjy A Eagle Signal Co , Davenport lej A graduate of Moline High ie'School, the bridegroom is at-f* tending Black Hawk College and r- is employed at Fuller’s Print-
