leimserLeonard Buryanek And Emmetsburg Girl Wed;Home Near WestfieldAda v ill e: The Assu$mtion Catholic church, Emmetsburg, was the scene of the wedding ceremony when Miss Therese Schumacher, daughter of Mrs, Mary Schumacher, Emmetsburg, became the bride of Leonard Buryanek, son of Mrs. Bessie Buryanek of Westfield, Saturday, Dec. 29. The Rev, Mason performed the morning mass at 10:30 o’clock.Given in marriage by her uncle, Charles Kunz, the bride appeared in white slipper satin made with a fitted bodice and cathedral train. Her fingertip veil fell from a coronet of seed pearls and her only jewelry was a double strand of pearls, the bridegroom’s gift. Iw She carried a prayer book ar- $1 rangement of red roses and white streamers. aMiss Consuela Schumacher was 1 2i maid of honor and bridesmaid was Miss Edna May Schumacher, S wearing blufe taffeta and pink net over satin, respectively. They n wore matching headdresses and carried colonial bouquets of snap- * dragons and carnations. I 1Clarence Weinztel was best I man and groomsman was James I 1 buryanek. Duane Smith and I ] t Lowell Boetger ushered. The 1 men’s boutonniers were white 5 j carnations.Mrs. Sdiumacher was attired in an aqua crepe frock with black accessories and Mrs, Buryanek wore a black ensemble. Both mothers’ corsages were pink car* nations.A reception was held at the home of the bride’s mother for 50 guests. The bridal table was 5 centered with a four tier wedding \ cake and candles in the bride’s [ colors, pink, blue and white, were added decorations, j | Assisting at the bridal table were Miss Donna Carter, who tDoured. and Mrs. Dick McCarty, who cut the cake. Kitchen arrangements were made by Mrs, Evelyn Leur, Mrs. Charles Kunz and Mrs. George Retmeier. Mrs. Maurice Kunz recorded the names I |of the guests.The bride was graduated from the Emmetsburg Catholic high school and the Sioux Citv School of Cosmetolorjy. The bridegroom attended the Westfield high 1 school and has served 18 months y in the army.For traveling, the bride worie an emerald green suit with brown 3 accessories and a red rose cor-3. sage.
