Sims, Foster exchange vowsJayne Ellen Sims and John Milton Foster were united in marriage Dec. 19 at the First United Methodist Church of Lynn Haven Reverend Haroll M. DeVane performed the candlelight, double ring ceremony.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace S.Mr, and Mrs. John Milton FosterSims of Indianapolis, Ind. Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. William Curt Sims of Shoals, Ind.The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Foster of Panama City. His grandparents are Mrs. Tiney Foster Anderson and Mrs. Estelle Parker.Elizabeth Parker, organist, and Harry Johnson, soloist, provided nuptial music throughout the service.Presented in marriage by her parents and escorted to the altar by her father, the bride wore a full length formal gown of organza accented with chantilly lace and seed pearls. The gown featured long sleeves enhanced with the same lace, a cathedral train and high circle collar. The gown was highlighted with a hat accented with lace and seed pearls, a fingertip veil and tulle. She carried her mother’s Bible with a cascade of burgundy and mauve roses, lily of the valley, baby’s breath and stephanotis.Jennifer L. Hancock, the bride’s sister from Indianopolis, Ind. served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Elaine Foster and Mrs. Cathy Belcher.Larry Hardy of Lynn Haven was best man. Usher-groomsmen were Richard Foster and Ronald Houser.Jaime Hancock, the bride’s niece, served as flower girl, Shawn Foster, the bridegroom’s nephew, was ring bearer.Following the ceremony, a buffet reception was given by the bride s parents in the church reception hall. During the reception, Mrs. Alice Branch and Paula Norton served the bridegroom’s cake and punch; Mrs. Donna Hicks served the bride’s cake; and Mrs. Donna Foster kept the bride’s book. Mrs. Louise Norton and Mrs. Bunny Stubbs directed the wedding.After a wedding trip to Wakulla Springs, the couple will reside in Panama City where the bridegroom is employed by the Bay County School Board. The bride is a student at Gulf Coast Community College.A rehearsal dinner was held Dec. 18 at the First United Methodist Church in Lynn Haven. It was hosted by the bridegroom’s parents.A miscellaneous shower was hosted by Nola Decker and Cathy Belcher on Nov. 6 in honor of the bride. It was held at the Belcher residence.A lingerie shower was hosted by Elaine Foster on Dec. 10 at the home of Hazel Foster in honor of the bride.
