On Friday, December 1atn, marriage vows were exchanged between Myr- ie Verna May, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hurren of Birch River and Alfred, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Letreault, of Fort Frances, Ont. The Rev. Miss M. McLean officiated The bride was given away by her uncle, Mr. George ‘Stewart of Paradise Valley, Alberta. She wore an ankle length gown with lace bodice and bol ero, and the skirt of white satin with nylon net overskirt. Her fingertip veit was held in place by a pearl beaded arm. ‘Miss Eileen Hurren was maid of hon or, wearing an ankle length aqua dress having a lace overskirt and cover-up with matching head piece. Muriel, Bridesmaid, sister of the bride, wore pink satin wth net and pink headpiece. Sandra Stevens, Flower Girl, in a seq luin sprinkled yellow dress, carried a bouquet of American Beauty roses. ‘The groom was attended by Alfred Carpenter and Delbert Hurren, bro ther of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Norris Stevens invited the wedding party to their home after the ceremony. At six o'clock forty guests sat down to ‘ delicious supper ‘at the Birch River Cafe. The dance ‘was held in the Legion Hall. ‘The happy couple left on December 22nd to make their home in Fort Frinces, Ontario. ‘The bride and groom received many lovely gifts and good wishes.
