Married at MidnightThe first wedding ceremony in Clay, county for 1917 was performed by Rev. 0. M. Bond at 12 o’clock on New Years eve at his home on West Fourth street when he pronounced the words that joined in the holy bonds of matrimony Mr. Johir Baumeister and Miss Alice M. Doud of Hartley. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. .T. W, Holcom who acted as witnesses. The groom is engaged/ in farming near Hartley.
