WEDDED AT OLD “ANGERONA.Brilliant Marriage of Miss Mary Com and Mr. JobD Steck.CEREMONY TOOK PLACE TODAY.At Loast Ono Hundred and Fifty Quests Were Present.At 4:30 o’clock thin afternoon, “Angorona,” tho palatial residence of Mr. Thomas Cover on west Piccadilly street, was thronged with ono of tho most brilliant gatherings of Winchester’s elite and a number of out-of-town guests to witness tho crowning social ovent-^-tho marriage of Miss Mary Margaret Cover, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Cover and ono of Winchester’s most charming daughters to Mr. John Michael Steek, a prominent young lawyer of this city.Tho announcement of the engagement of tho young people in Thk Star somo weeks ago caused a llutter of expectancy in society, and an elaborate weldding was anticipated; but, it had boon decided that tho event should be as quiet as possible,despite tho prominence of the contracting parties. Consequently tho occasion was one of modestly subdued elegance anti splendor; quiet but charming, and free from that blase display of feverish elaborateness, which characterizes so niUnv similar events.Tho residence was beautifully decorated on the interior. Cedar j and evergreens entwined woro festooned from chandelier to chandelier and along the walls in tho hallway and in the large parlor where the ceremony took place, the arrangement of decoratipns was also effective. There were similar festoons of cedar, holly and smilax gracefully adorning the spacious room, but the principal feature was tho floral altar—a charming idea evolved from the mind of some one who has - a decided genius for creating pleasing studies in floral decorations. This altar was in the alcove formed by tho southern bay window and from a mass of potted plants, palms, cut flowers and evergreens emerged a number of candelbra in which were lighted tapers that shed an exquisite glow over tho scene and imparted a dash of the romantic to the picture presented. Also at intervals in the decorations gleamed carnation, sweet and pare, and other beautiful cut llowers.At 4:30 o’clock, as Miss Virginia Cover, sfrster of tho bride, who is an accomplished pianist, played Lohengrin’s Wedding March, and as the strains of that grand march welled forth beneath her skilled touch, the bridal party entered the room from the northern door. First came the four ribbon boarers, little Miss Elizabeth Love Hudgins, Masters Thomas, Lewis and Joseph Barton, nephews of the bride, followed by the ushers, Messrs. Thomas Cover, Jr., brother of the bride;I\ B. Patton, Lewis N.
