CHARLES ALLEN TENNYSON JR.(Miss Nancy Jeanne Hart)Couple at Home in Arkansas After YuletideWedding in First Christian Church HereThe First Christian Church was the scene of the wedding of Miss Nancy Jeanne Hart and Charles Tennyson Allen Jr. Dec. 21, at 3 o'clock in the afternoon.Minister Albert Brown of Kerens, formerly of Ennis Gilmer Street Church of Christ, officiated at the double ring ceremony.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald H Hart of Ennis and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Allen of Littleton, Colo Both bride and bridegroom attended Stephen F. Austin University,Nacogdoches.The altar was decorated with candelabra and traditional Christmas holly.Miss Susan Hart, cousin of the bride, was vocalist accompanied by James Hart, uncle of the bride, organist, who also played the traditional selections for the processional and recessionalcentered with the white wed-4ding cake, which was flanked by two white flocked green trees decorated with white flowers and draped with strands of pearls.The green punch was served from an ornate silver bowl at one end of the table and coffee from a silver service at the opposite end. Butter mints and nuts completed the setting. The bottom tier of the wedding cake held four tall columns that supported the top tiers whichreached just taller than the flanking trees. The top tier was decorated with fresh white roses and stephanotis.Serving in the houseparty were Miss Cathy Mutrhead of Denton, Miss Susan Hart, Miss Debbie Sedlacek, Mrs. Stephanie Hart, all of Ennis, and Miss Denise Miller of DallasAfter a brief wedding trip, the bride and bridegroom are at home in El Dorado, Ark.Surprise 25th Anniv.Celebration for HuntersBride’s GownThe bride was given in marriage by her father. Her gown was of qiana fashioned with high neckline and bishop sleeves. The gown was trimmed at the neck with venice lace flowers and the lace flowers covered with pearls also accented the empire waistline The full a-line skirt swept into a chapel length train covered with the lace edged veil which extended the full length of the train The bride wore her grandmother's diamond pendant for something borrowed, carried an antique lace handkerchief given her by the bridegroom's sisiers for something old, and a new traditional blue garter Her bouquet was a cascade of gardenias and stephanotis.Art , Melva and Calissa Hunter surprised their parents Mr and Mrs. Melvin Hunter with a twenty-fifth anniversary celebration in their home, Tuesday, December 23. The Hunter girls secretly made the arrangements for the event. Mrs. Hunter’s sister from Oakland, California, was present for the anniversary and Christmas. Friday, December 26, the children of Mr and Mrs. Melvin Hunter honored them and guests at the Country Dinner Theater for dinner and to see the production “I Do! I Do!” The story covered fiftyyears of marriages which was very appropriate for the occasion. The guests for the two celebrations included: Mr. and Mrs. W.D.
