Gladys Griffith Becomes Bride Of R. L), ChandlerArrangements of yellow and white mums were at the altar of Sprague Free Will Baptist Church for the wedding of Miss Gladys Melinda Griffith and Roger Dale Chandler on Dec. 29. 'The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Rora-baugh of Mabscott, and the bridegroom, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Chandler of Fairmont.The Rev. James Stanley of Crab Orchard read the single-ring ceremony at 6 p.m. Kathy Gunnoe of MacArthur played wedding selections and accompanied Miss Debbie Stanley . who sang “The Lord’s Prayer.Given in marriage by her brother, David Griffith of Mabscott, the bride wore awhite street-length dress and a shoulder-length veil of illusion. Her. bouquet was pompons and baby’s breath.Mss Kathy Laws was maid of honor and Mrs. Sherry Chandler of Fairmont was the bridesmaid.Daniel Radcliff of Fairmont served as best man and ushers were Toney Barnaby and Mike Williams, both of Sprague.The reception was held in the home of the bride’s mother.The bride attended Woodrow Wilson and Mount Hope high schools, and the bridegroom attended West Fairmont High School. Both are students at the West Virginia Rehabilitation Center at Institute.They will reside temporarily with her mother.
