WELSH HILLSMiss Lucy Hankinson became the bride ( of John Everett of the Alexandria road * at a Christmas Eve wedding at 8 o’clock at the home of the bride’s aunt and uncle, 1 Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Evans.Preceding the wedding ceremony, Miss Helen Hartman and Samuel Philipps sang “I Love You Truly”. The service was read by Rev. H. J. Rice of Gran-The bride wore a frock of blue crepe and carried an arm bouquet of roses and sweet peas. Her attendant, Miss Margaret Carlisle wore a frock of rust crepe and carried a bouquet of mixed flowers. Evan Jones of Granville served the 1 groom as best man.After the service a reception was held for the immediate families and a few close friends. The table was centered with green and red candles, and Christmas decorations were used effectively throughout the rooms.Mrs. Everett is the daughter of Hayes Hankinson and is a graduate of Granville High School and Denison university. Mr. Everett is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Everett of the Alexandria road. He is a graduate of Granville High School and attended Ohio State university.Mr. and Mrs. Everett will reside at present on the farm of the former’s parents.Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Milner Jr. and son were Christmas dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Cramer and family of Fredonia.Ed. Boles and daughter Marjorie spent Wednesday with his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. F. G. Weekley in Newark.The Christmas dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Evans were as follows : Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Philipps and family, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Sipe and family, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Foster, and Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Jones of Granville, Mrs. Clyde Foster of Burg street, Mr. and Mrs. John Everett and Miss Helen Hartman.Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Vernon were Wednesday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Milner Sr.Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Hobbs entertained the following guests for Christmas dinner: Mr. and Mrs. Clarence McQueen and Raymond Fowler of St. Louisville and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Evans.About thirty-five friends and neighbors gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Evans Saturday night and surprised Mr. and Mrs. John Everett with an old-fashioned belling.
