Butts, member of theclothing firm of Butts Wakeley and well and favorably known in the city and community, was married at Joliet on Monday, Dec. 30, to Miss Edna D. Young, the nuptial event taking place at the home of the bride's parents.The wedding was a quiet affair, none save immediate relatives knowing of it, and here in Harvard the first Roy's ipost intimate friends* heard of his marriage was on his arrival in this city on Tuesday evening with the young lady he had chosen as a life companionThe bride and groom became acquainted during their residence at Waukegan, where Mr Butts was employed in a clothing store and the bride lived in that city while her father was a foreman in the American Steel and Wire mille. Their going to Joliet was simultaneous, the groom accepting a position in i' clothing store there at about the time the bride’s father was transferred to the steel and wire mills foremanship.Thq bridegroom is among the best known and most popular of Harvard young business men, having devoted many years to the clothing trade, in which he is familiar in its varied lines. He is in every way a deserving and upright young man.The bride, a popular and esteemed young lady, is in every way worthy of the young man whose life companion she will be, Mr and Mrs. Butts are atpresent living with his parents, Mr and Mrs S M. Butts.1
